Aunt Rosie has always been one of my favorite people. She was a very passionate woman who wore her heart on her sleeve. She was the fun, quirky aunt that everyone needs. She was always uniquely herself and held strong to her beliefs. I never forget the time I was at her house during a thunderstorm and someone called and she picked up the phone just long enough to tell the person on the other end she could not talk on the phone because she wasn't taking risk of be struck by lightening. I also will never be able to cross the bridge on county road 215 without wondering if this will be the time that a sink hole will swallow the car I'm in. Aunt Rosie held to her beliefs and I always admired that. Time spent with Aunt Rosie was always time we'll spent. It never mattered were I would see Aunt Rosie she would always stop and chat and give my arm a little squeeze. I always looked forward to going to the Decatur Craft show with my mom because we would see Aunt Rosie. We would hold up the flow of traffic for a minute so we could say a quick hello and catch up a little. It never matter how crowded it was because Aunt Rosie made you feel like there was no one else in the room. Some of my favorite memories come from yard sale week at Gramma Waldschmidt's house. Aunt Rosie would spend the week helping Gramma Waldschmidt get everything ready. I loved seeing the friendship between them. They both worked hard at getting the yard sale setup just so. They work well together and I was always amazed by how much they could accomplish together. Sometimes thou when you have two strong people working together there was a little bit of a power struggle. One of them would move some thing when the others back was turn. A little later I would see other move it back. They would go back and forth like this I never said anything just giggled to myself and thought I hope when I'm their age I have a friendship like theirs. The week was filled with lots of laughter, some butting of heads, a few tears, but their friendship always shined through the strongest. I have so many fond memories I could go on and on, but instead I would like to share my favorite advice I learned from Aunt Rosie. Don't talk on the phone during a thunderstorm you'll get stuck by lighting, avoid the bridge on county road 215 because one day the sink hole will swallow up someone's car and you don't want it to be yours, but most of all aways take the time to talk to people like they are the only one in the room. Take the time to squeeze their arm because that little gesture let's them know you really do care.

Aunt Rosie was a great lady. Always quick to smile and tell you a story. I always enjoyed hanging out with her she and I would talk recipes and a little bit of everything. She will be greatly missed.
