Linda, I can't begin to tell you how sad I was to hear of Ron's passing. I have known him since the 2 of you were dating in 1968. I remember listening to you two talking to each other and every other word out of both of your mouths was "Honey".....I knew he was the one for you. I fondly remember many phone conversations with Ron (when you still had your home phone) and sometimes we would talk for an hour or more because you were at a meeting or choir practice. And ......Oh that laugh of his....it was often and you knew it was him. You were blessed with 53 years of marriage and I know he will be deeply missed. Even though I didn't see him often I miss the idea of him being there with you. Much sympathy and love being sent your way.

Mrs. Fites, the boys and I would have gotten into so much more trouble if you and Mr. Fites were not always looking out for us, even when we would sneek your dads van out, I think you let us do that...so much love for your family - Greg Shell

Linda and Family, I first met Ron in the early 1990's when I purchased a building lot from him on Kevin Street across the street from where he lived. In 1993 he built my house. At the same time he was building a house for his family on Fields. Ron had a reputation for quality and reliability in building. I never had any problems with the house he built me. Over the years as we both got older and retired we would cross paths walking in the mornings and stop and talk at some length. Always enjoyed our chats and looked forward to them. I'll miss him. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Phil Carter and family

Phil, thank You so much for those kind words. Ron always spoke so highly of you after your many encounters in conversations. He had a great deal of respect for you too. We will certainly miss him a lot but appreciate your kind words very much Linda

Cousin Ron will be greatly missed! I remember him growing up as a quiet, good-looking young man who had a subtle gentleness about him. He had a little bit of Uncle Charlie and a lot of Aunt Tillie in him. Charlie's quirky laughter and humor, and Tillie's graciousness and generosity. He had such a big heart--filled with Linda and their large and loving family. Our prayers for your comfort!
