I worked with Ron at Whirlpool and enjoyed his humor and big smile. Also listened to some of his singing after retirement. Excellent. The world will miss Ron.

Ron and I served together on judging panels as Administrative Judges and I learned a lot from him. He was a wonderful, giving person and I will miss him, but he lives on through the lives of the many people he touched.

Ron was a great friend to my father (Dick Fortin) and I have fond memories of "Uncle Ron" growing up. He was a very kind man. He will be missed.

Over the past decade, as a fellow Administrative Judge in the Barbershop singing world, I got to know Ron really well. Whether we were working a contest or project together, calling each other to bounce ideas around or just calling each other to chat, every interaction with Ron was a joy. My life has been greatly enriched having had Ron as a friend. Were that it could have been longer. I will miss you!

Ron and I grew up in the River Park area of South Bend, Indiana. We played together in a couple of bands off and on in the 60’s. He was always encouraging and a helpful friend. He coached me through my high school geometry class so I could pass with flying colors. We had a lot of laughs and shared insights on life and religion. He will be greatly missed.
