I just learned of Perry’s passing. I met him in the 80’s at a veteran function and he became a lifelong friend. I was fortunate to see him before he passed. We had some great times together at LZ Michigan at Kokomo Indiana. He will be sorely missed. Vicki, please accept our sincere condolences from sharon and myself. I have lost another brother in arms. I/we will miss him.

Perry and I were friends all the way to when we lived in Benton Harbor. Both our families moved to Ogden Circle the same summer, making him my oldest friend. Rest in peace my friend.

I met Perry 35 years ago at the annual Vietnam Veteran’s Reunion in Kokomo, Indiana & we have been friends ever since. I will miss our frequent phone calls & seeing him at the reunion. Brothers Forever! A Hero’s Welcome by: Robert Longley Time to come home dear brother Your tour of duty is through You’ve given as much as anyone Could be expected to do Just a few steps further The smoke will start to clear Others here will guide you You have no need of fear You have not failed your brothers You clearly have it all And through your selfless actions Others will hear the call So take your place of honor Among those who have gone before And know you will be remembered For now and evermore

I remember Perry from when I was a little girl & would go to Vietnam Veteran’s functions with my dad (Don Davidson). We lived outside of Chicago at the time, so we saw him pretty often, as him & my dad would both travel in the area to go to these functions. After we moved to southern Indiana, I didn’t see him anymore until September of 2020 when I surprised my dad by showing up at the annual Vietnam Veteran’s Reunion held every year in Kokomo, IN & of course Perry was there also. It was great to see him after all of those years & I ribbed him a little bit by telling him he had a lot more gray in his hair than the last time I saw him … he then told me to go home! lol My dad had always stayed in contact with him, calling him regularly, & saw him every year in Kokomo. Dad talked about him often. He was a great friend to my dad & a great guy all around. I’m glad I have those memories of him. He will be greatly missed by his Vietnam Veteran Brothers! Praying for peace & comfort for his family.

Without question Perry was a veteran's veteran. He was always looking to help his brothers and I am a recipient of his efforts, for that I will always be grateful. My condolences to Vicky and family Perry will be missed.

Sincere condolences to Vicky, Jeff and the entire family. I worked with Perry since joining Gast in '74, rode with him in BC Riders days and Jeff @ Kepners. He was a good man and will be missed. I'm sure he is enjoying riding his Harley on that big highway in the sky! Rest easy old friend. Much love and prayers....
