I am one of the shady lady guys from back in the day. She always called me Claud, and I always called her Naoma. She will be greatly missed.

My heart goes out to the 5 Roberts girls and family at the loss of your Mom. She was a "fun Mom" but at the same time was able to keep all those 5 girls in check. What a colorful obituary describing Laverne! I was one of those "church kids" she opened up her house to me and many others from Fairplain Assembly of God. I ate my share of that pizza and freshly baked goods she created and rode many miles on those minibikes! I truly believe your Mom had a part in keeping my life on the straight and narrow. Job well done my good and faithful servant, enter the kingdom of God!

I stayed at Lavernes a few times while visiting Friends and family in Michigan. Laverne was a friend of my mother. We talked about a variety of worldly topics for hours. She had a strength and tranquility about her that is so very rare. I am grateful for knowing her. I will miss her immensely. Bless Laverneβs girls. Your mom was one of a kind.

Lorie, Julie, Joyle, Lisa & Dana, My heart is heavy for you girls. Aunt Vern was the best Aunt. I have many great memories of her. One of many that sticks out is when her and my mom were on the telephone. All you heard were giggles. I always knew who was on the other end! Aunt Vern, you were so loved and will be missed.
