My deepest sympathy to Jason's family. I am remembering a very special friend and wonderful man who touched the lives of so many in his family, church, community and all those blessed to know him. Jason Pettett, On Eagles Wings , you have been carried home. You are in God's presence. " Well done good and faithful servant" Heaven gained your winsome smile, gentle bear hugs, and that sense of humor. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten. You have left a legacy of loving others, caring passionately, and serving causes greater than yourself. R.I.P.

To the Pettet family... sad to read the news about Jason's unfortunate passing. He was always a kind soul with a great sense of humor. I remember trips to Saugatuck with myself, Jason and Chris to play rocket tackle football in junior high, as SH had no options. I also remember the drum crew in the 80s and Jason playing bass drum in the band. Our fathers were both gym teachers and we had that in common as well. Jason never had a bad word to say about anyone, and I'll remember his positive attitude and demeanor. He will be missed by all who knew him. I wish his family peace in this difficult time.

I have a LOT of very fond memories of Jason - about 32 years of them! While we had lots of fun together just being “kids”, I think that my fondest memories are of Jason the healer and caregiver. He helped so many people in so many ways and was there for me and all of my family, 100% of the time with just a moments notice. He was there to provide acupuncture for anything from labor induction to helping my kiddo with anxiety to helping our dad with muscle tremors. We’d have to plan at least half of a day around any treatment session because he’d sit and talk about anything and everything for that long (and then some -LOL) but that was good healing too. Even when not working his magic with needles, he was always focused on ensuring everyone around him was happy, healthy and comfortable. To Jason, no one was a stranger, everyone was made to feel like his close friend and there just aren’t enough people like that in this world for us to have lost this one so soon. I pray that throughout this next leg of his journey he continues to learn and find opportunities to share his knowledge and his big heart. We love and miss you, buddy.

Dear Pettet Family, We mourn Jason's passing with you. I have had the pleasure of knowing your Family my entire life and Jason's passing certainly brings back many wonderful memories. Your family basically lived at the pool when Renee, Chris and Jason were young and I will always remember those times. Rest in peace my friend and may God pour his blessings over everyone who will miss Jason.

Jason was my acupuncturist during my sojourn in South Haven. How shocking to read of his sudden death. My deepest sympathies to all of his family. I know he was a very dedicated son.

I knew Jason from the age of 7 (swim team) through high school and beyond. Never did he have a disparaging thing to say about anyone. He always had a smile on his face and was kind to all no matter the circumstances, always. He carried himself through life as a genuinely kind person without fail. He will truly be missed by all. -Kristina [Begel] Bus

Just an all around truly genuine guy. Life was always interesting when Jason was around. He saw the world through the clearest eyes, and had room in his heart for everyone. Even when his plate was completely full, Jason had time talk. And, Jason could talk about any subject. He was a giver, a protector, a teacher, and a loyal friend. All of our lives are better for knowing him, and none of us could ever forget him. Jason left a permanent impression on all our lives; and, for that I know we are forever thankful to God.

Jack, Jeannie, Renee, Chris and the many family Jason always boasted about with pride of their accomplishments no matter how small. Jason was a healer with his Acupuncture practices indeed, he healed a severe ankle injury and was steadfast at keeping up on a daily basis stopping by my home for days and as my healing aloud me to walk and I would wonder to our family business to help in any way I could my father, Jason would call me and ask me where I was at as it was time for another treatment and would show up at our facility and perform his wonderful procedures. Jason was way more than any obituary could ever compose. He was a key supporter and partner in crime, co founder with my wife Dawn and I to the development of the Casco United Methodist Church's C.A.Y.F ( Casco Area Youth Fellowship)the most aggressively promoted and fully successful youth development program the CAsco Church has ever seen, with an average 27 youth from ages 12 to 17 attending weekly for fun, food, music and spiritual guidance with in depth description of the scripture topic of the week. The C.A.Y.F. would support a monthly party where all area church and non church attending youth were welcomed. And, it worked!!! Due to Jason's input and direction with that, the C.A.Y.F. drew in over 75 youth all looking for a fun time in a Christian setting that made sense to them. All time gathering of youth for a Halloween party was 120 youth from surrounding communities! Thankyou Jason, from all of those youth that you touched in spiritual wrapping. Jason wanted to give every last breath within him to his his parents above all and was devoted daily in the care of both, always near to ensure their saftey and daily needs were taken care of. He stated many times that taking care of his parents was never a burden as it was his duty as the son of those of whom gave hime his wonderful life. Amen!! I loved you Jason as a brother from another mother and I know you knew that. as I received the same feeling back to me. Although saddened at your passing, your rewards should be great as you have earned them with the many lives that you have touched and shown love in their lives. May we all learn from your wisdom of what the big picture is all about as you had it perfect in how you lived your life. Everyone will miss you, I will miss you my brother and yet, I know you are right there still in my heart forever and our memories will be cherished thru out my existence. Love you lil bro..........

I am so sorry to hear of Jason’s passing. The last time I saw him was 10 years ago when he sold me a big pumpkin for Halloween. I have known Jason since 1985 when he was in my World History Class. I remember how polite and smart he was. Later in years I joined the United Methodist Church and was happy to see Jason there. He was a huge help to the choir and to the church in general. He was so funny and very diplomatic. He always made his debate in a way that was so respectful and with a smile. Never met a more polite guy. I am sorry I have not seen him in a long time. Rest in peace and enjoy the sounds in heaven. Take care family, prayers be with you. Cindy Wark

I was so sad to hear the news. This family has done so much for so many. Saving lives was the “family business”. My love to them all.
