I alway looked forward to visiting with Ed when he came into my place of business. He always asked about family and shared news about Sandy and Gary. He loved his family and his wife Bonnie. It was a joy to know Ed and all his family, may they find peace and love in this time of sorrow.

I have so many fond memories of Mr. and Mrs. Aber. Especially the red licorice Mrs. Aber! Mr. Aber was definitely my favorite youth baseball coach. He would pitch BP and hit us ground balls as long as we liked. I always enjoyed his company and always looked forward to seeing he and Mrs. Aber every Christmas at the Methodist Peace Temple Christmas service. Their son Gary was a close friend for many years as well. I hope Gary is living a blessed life. Mr. Aber was the most kind person anyone could ever meet. Always a smile for everyone! When ever he would see me he would say in this most happy voice, "Hey there Lefty"! I would come over to their house to visit with Gary and I loved to listen to him play some Boogie Woogie on the piano and just sit and talk baseball. He was a great sports fan. He probably never knew how much I truly admired him and how much I appreciated his coaching and mentorship during my entire youth. He was a great influence to me and many other kids.. And the trips to Wrigley and that station wagon. Seemed like that car could fit 20 kids! He was also a wonderful husband and father. What a wonderful long life Mr. Aber! God certainly has a place for you prepared! My deepest condolences to Mrs. Aber, Gary and Sandy. See you soon.

Ed worked with my Dad at the post office. I enjoyed visiting with him when transacting business at the post office. Ed remembered all his customers and would always say 'Hello' when he saw you. Great guy!!
