I met Donna when Doug and I were 13 years old and Donna forced Doug to come downstairs to my apartment where he had dropped some thing on my back patio. That was that… Donna and my mom became best of friends and Doug and I became good friends. Throughout the years Donna became like a second mother to me my mom , Donna and I would often travel for our birthdays to San Francisco and to New York one year Donna was always kind. One year my mom and Donna had planned a trip to Australia and unfortunately the phone company went on strike Donna was unable to go she was so kind she gifted me the ticket to Australia and all I had to do was change the ticket into my name and I was able to travel to Australia Fiji and New Zealand in her place. It’s a trip I’ll never forget and I never would’ve had that opportunity if Donna hadn’t gifted me the ticket. I watched her take care of Doug and help him over the years and it always amazes me how kind and gentle and strong at the same time she was. My heart is broken knowing that she’s gone but I also know that she is at peace….. and having a cocktail with my mom. All my love Carol Dee

I grew up in New Buffalo knowing Donna as a part of my extended family. When I returned to Michigan from Florida to visit, Beth and I would try to meet Donna and Doug for breakfast. Her sense of humor made conversation easy and fun. Her tender caregiving and love she showed Doug was inspirational. Rest easy Donna. Job well done.

Donna was a very special lady. She didn't let much get her down. We had many good times in AZ working for the phone company and playing every weekend. My prayers go towards Doug and the family. Rip Donna!!

I was so sorry to hear the news of Donna’s passing. I will treasure fond memories of the years I worked with Donna at U S West. We had annual Christmas lunches and dinners while she was in Phoenix and then special dinners with all our buddies when she would come to town. RIP DV. Condolences to her family. ❤️❤️

To Donna’s Family – I am devastated to hear about the loss of Donna. She was a wonderful lady and loved everyone in her life. She fought a great battle but in the end it became too much for her and now the suffering is over. I will continue to keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. She was a wonderful friend to all of us. We have lots of great memories of her and your entire family.
