Carolyn's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Carolyn here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
I have had the privilege of doing Carolyn’s hair for many, many years and we shared lots of memories together. I will miss her dearly, and her family that I’ve gotten to know also. Carolyn you will always be in my prayers as you teach Sunday school in heaven. Love you. John and Marge

Mrs. Corteville (she will always be MRS. to me) was my Sunday School Teacher in the First Baptist Church of Benton Harbor’s Primary Class. Her and Mrs Rose taught me together, as I remember it. She gave me a gold star every Sunday that I attended. :) They taught us about Jesus. With pictures and stories, we learned to read our New Testaments in 1-3 grade as they slowly filled with gold stars. She directed us to decorate Saturday evening after Thanksgiving our classroom for Christmas. Afterwards she sang in a full Choir as the Birth of Christ came alive with shepherds & Songs etc. When the Church moved to St Joseph, she was there with Floyd and totally involved. She was always smiling. Didn’t she also work at the Red Cross?

It was such a joy to know Mrs. Corteville. She was such a lovely Christian woman. We shall never forget her. R.I.P. our friend, until we meet again. God bless the Corteville Family. You have our love and prayers during this transitional time.

Our families spent a lot of time together as we were growing up. She was a wonderful person and will be dearly missed.

So sorry to read this. Carolyn was a strong woman of faith & I always enjoyed visiting with her. I'll be out of town on the 16th; but my prayers are with the family.

My husband and I were blessed to know Miss Carolyn and her love for our Lord, family and friends. She touched our lives by simply being the woman God called her to be. Holding her family and all those who love her in our hearts and prayers.
