I remember Ms. Betty when I was a child and we attended New Bethel Baptist Church. She was always a lovely lady and kind. I went to school with Owen. Your family has my deepest condolences and may God comfort you at this time.

Praying for the Shurn family. Ms Betty was a beloved member of The New Bethel Baptist Church Usher Board. I believe she was 80 years old when she said she was going to leave ushering to the younger people. She was a very faithful member, and her memory will live on in our hearts.

During times like this, it's hard to find the words that best convey the many thoughts my heart would like to say. I'll never forget spending the summers at Aunt Betty's with Renee, Coy and all the brothers and the family barbeques. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) Love, Karren Wilson
