Arlene's Memory Wall

Arlene was always fun to meet because she had a smile on her face. I first met her in Lakeview Hospital. I had just had my daughter Laurie. A day or two later she had Kevin. Since I stayed for 5 days, we had time to get acquainted. When Arlene was a librarian in Decatur , we ran into each other now and then. She was always helpful and friendly. Then, in later years , we enjoyed Study Club’s programs together. Whenever we met we always had things in common to talk about. Arlene is a friend that I will miss.

I use to do Arlene s nails.. she was so sweet. We would do her nails her to match her purple car she loved. I do remember she was always happy and made others feel happy to be around her. I loved her so much! Rest in peace Arlene.

To Arlene’s loved ones, I was privileged to see Arlene often at my work. She was always a delight, being extra kind and patient as we moved into so many complications from the pandemic . She’d wait in line with a smile on her face , be generous with her understanding if we didn’t have what she needed, and always made sure she’d say hello even if I was buried and she had to shout it to me. My team and I will miss her that’s for sure . I only wish we could look forward to seeing everyone as much as we did her, but that’s what made her so special. My comfort for your loss.
