Arlene's Obituary
Arlene J. Warkentien, 83, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newell Chapel and Cremation Services.

Arlene was born September 22, 1938, in North Judson, IN, to Herman and Blanche (Kistler) Mosher. She graduated from North Judson High School in 1956. On June 23, 1956, she married her high school sweetheart and the love her life, Larry Warkentien. Arlene worked as the school librarian for Decatur Public Schools for many years before her retirement. She had a love for music and was a talented clarinet and saxophone player. In here spare time she enjoyed reading and rooting for the Indiana Hoosiers basketball team. Most of all she loved her family and will be greatly missed.
Arlene is survived by her loving husband, Larry Warkentien; children, David (Tena) Warkentien, Dennis Warkentien, Kathy (Robert) Fleming, Kevin Warkentien and Vicki (Patrick) Boitnott; 13 grandchildren and 17, great-grandchildren. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; brother Wayne Mosher; and granddaughter, Melissa Warkentien.
