May Al’s memory be for a blessing. I knew Al, of course, as my piano teacher Sondra’s husband. Also Al (but I think I probably always called him Mr. Levin) worked tirelessly alongside my dad, Ed Mendel, at the Temple. My fondest memories are from our Monday night bowling league where I got to keep score for their B’nai Brith team.

I worked with Al most of his years at Mac. We knew he was a good purchasing agent, but didn't realize how good until he retired - he was a great purchasing agent! He was a good friend and was always pleasant and upbeat. Listening to his kids say what a great dad he was was no less than what I expected. We will all miss Al. Our condolences to the family.

Al Levin what is a Second Father to our family. A soft spoken dignified man, who everyone respected, because of the way in which he led his life. I remember him as a fixture at everyone of my children’s bat mitzvahs, as one of the leaders of the bargain center, and as a person to emulate. Everyone will miss Al Levin, not only his family but the community at large, May his memory be a blessing.
