I knew Pete thru many interactions at Walmart. The most memorable was last year when I bought four tires that should have been great but just weren’t. I brought them back, there were many discussions and Pete was brought in. I asked him to drive my car and actually listen to my description of the problem. He did, and replaced the tires after driving my car around town. I really appreciated him taking the time and effort to listen to me when others didnt have the time or interest. I am very sorry to hear of his passing.

In the early 70's, my family moved from the Bronx, New York to the suburbs of Long Island. Specifically to a neighborhood in Brentwood New York called Regis Park. Pete was the FIRST person I met in Regis Park, and the first person I met at school because my teacher sent him to the office to escort me to the classroom. Mr. Vercillo was the coolest teacher ever. We literally took "dance breaks" in class, and my first day he threw on "Tighten Up" by Archie Bell and The Drells...Who was the first kid to jump up and dance? Pete, of course...lol...Anything with music, brotha man was there...Not surprising, because he came from a family of singing brothers and sisters...Great memories...In junior high, the principal called him the "Black Fonzie" because of his glibness with the ladies...lol...He also was a hell of a basketball player, with a slick handle and a feathery jumpshot...But above all, Pete was one of the genuine, stand up guys...Just a few days before he passed, he reached out and left me a voice message...Wishing me well, telling me he was proud of me...and ending with "Love you, man...." That's classic Pete...My prayers and blessings go out to his lovely wife, children, siblings, and friends...He'll surely be missed....❤️

My condolences go out to The Jackson Family who i've known for well over 45+ years....Pete was a hell of a brotha!...We all grew up in the same neighborhood...as we got older Pete told me once..Ced...leave the BBALL alone!...Spin them records that's what you do!...You don't want none of this!...I laughed and continued to get embarassed on the court!....I've never forgotten that!... Jeff!...get at me 516-523-9666...Love!...I'm going to miss him!
