Mrs. Hallgren was a very special lady! I met her when I became a teacher at Glenn School and was lucky to know some of her children and grandchildren. I have her book and always enjoy reading it.

Truly sad news saying goodbye to one of Glenn's treasured citizens. I loved talking with her sharing stories of the past and working with her I am forever grateful to her for turning much of my Grandmother's journals into her book about Glenn peace dear friend Loving memories Sue A Nyman Tecklenburg

The keepers of our cultural history are so vital. Jeanne was a Glenn treasure, keeping our little community’s history alive, and I’m so glad I had the chance to know her... ?

Josh, Leslie, Sarah, and family... Wow! Mrs. Hallgren was a true pillar of Glenn! So, I can easily imagine how her passing hits everyone extra. She sounds like the perfect mother and grandmother. How lucky can a family get? And you have such a long history to re-read and remember! Barry Shanley

Jeanne was one of the nicest ladies I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Me and her began being friends after Josh and Joy were out of school. I was a few years ahead of them. We would go to the Glenn Feast and she and I would talk and talk when she had time. She was always busy. I have a lot of nice memories of her and I talking. Great Lady !!!! And she will be missed. Thinking of you all in this hard time. Denise ( Hiser ) Houston .

Jack and family: My deepest condolences to you all on the loss of your mom. I have used her books over and over in trying to figure out my ancestry and have concluded I'm related to everyone in the area directly or indirectly! She was a good friend of my mom's and I'm sure they're chattering away in heaven. May God hold you all tight in His arms and help you through the tough times ahead. I know you have lots of memories to carry on her life. Mary
