Forrest was such a talented man. He could fix or build anything. When I was 14 he extended the forks on my bicycle when choppers were the latest thing. He did a perfect job on that bike, the balance was perfect. Everyone in the neighborhood was jealous of that bike.He could take a block of wood and a knife and the next thing you knew there was a awesome figurine. He will be truly missed. Gary Ridley

My grandfather was one of the smartest men I will ever know in my life. Even when he was fast asleep he could answer a question in his sleep. Life is not the same but he is no longer in pain and I know he is searching for sea glass in the shores of heaven

Jodi, I have a vague memory of you telling us (maybe in Kindergarten at Maple Grove) that your dad was named after a Civil War General. Every time I read about General Nathan Bedford Forest, I think of you and him. My sympathies to you, your mom, Jackie and families. May memories of happy times with your dad soon replace your grief.

So sorry for the passing of Forrest. I remember him from Grade School and Jr. High, would try to catch him at Walmart when I was in So. Haven. I didn't know he was so talented. Sorry for the loss to all those who knew him.

From watching your dads tribute video on his life I can see that he was adored his family so much. And he was such a talented man with his wood cravings, music, and poetry. I could see that he loved life to the fullest. And I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad that you all hold such wonderful memories of him to pass on to the great grandchildren.
