Harry's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Harry here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Condolences to the family!
When we were in the ninth grade, Harry would walk past me while I were shooting the basketball at the family driveway. My house was at the corner of Wolcott and Pixley. Harry walked on the opposite side of the street and would stop to watch me. Several times I invited him also to shoot which he accepted. I believe Harry really appreciated that someone would let him participate and rebound the ball for him. If my memory is correct, he shot left-handed.
My father's cousin, Olga Schmeichel, stepmother to Karen Schmeichel and mother to Eddie Schmeichel, was born in Bugrin, Poland. My father was born in the same town two years later after it became Bugrin, Russia (Ukraine--?).

I knew Harry when he worked for Dr Westerbeke. Harry was so sweet, dedicated to his work and so proud to support Make a Wish. So sorry for your loss to the Miller family.

I've known Harry for 50 years through Whirlpool, but never worked in the same department. We were always just friendly co-workers. He would always stop and say hello if we saw each other in the halls, as did I. After retirement, I would see Harry at local restaurants and we would talk. Eventually, I would meet him for breakfast with several other retirees about once every 3-4 months. I always enjoyed Harry's wit and laughter. He was a true friend and we'll all miss him.
