The Newlands extend our condolences to Bob and the entire Dearing family. I have nothing but fond memories of Mr. Dearing and was sad to read the news in the HP. I can imagine what kind of husband and father he was based on how he supported and was a friend to me, my father, and others on Bob's athletic teams over the years. I know he will be missed.

When we bought our new home on Terra Lane, back in 1985, we knew we were getting a home that would accommodate our growing family….. I was pregnant with our 4th. What we didn’t know is that we were also getting life-long friends and wonderful neighbors. Lydia and Bob truly embodied the definition of a backdoor neighbor. We borrowed eggs, babysat each other’s dogs, swam in their pool, shared recipes and dinners, and traveled to Beijing together.
As Bob became less mobile, we would sit on the patio and enjoy a glass of wine and conversation. Ed and Bob shared many an afternoon, drinking a cup of coffee and solving world problems. What a gift our friendship was! You will be missed….

Dick and I remember well Bob, our neighbor, walking down the street. He always had something humorous to say and made us smile. Thoughts go to family.

Donna and Jim Menchinger send our condolences to the family of Bob's and his wife. Bob was a person interested in people and always had something interesting to share. The man with a joke and willing to help out others. Thanks for being Roger Menchingers longtime friend and we too were glad to be a friend of the family and Bob now in the arms of God.
