We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Cody here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Cody, It's taken me a while to write this, it seems like just a little while ago you called me up to ask if I wanted to be a fourth in your golf group when your dad came in to town, I know you looked forward to that so much and I'm so glad i got to meet him and be a part of that day. I miss you man. Whenever I stop and think of Cody all I can think about is his genuine spirit and the true acceptance that he brought to people around him. I finally went to the beach the other day--one of our favorite places, and I have to say it wasn't the same without him--but I tried to enjoy it like we always did. I'll miss you brother. I'll miss seeing him at work, I'll miss golf where he always managed to outdrive me, and I'll miss our friendship. He always raised up the people around him, and I'll never forget the texts that he sent to me when he recognized something that I did for somebody when I wasn't looking for any recognition: he still recognized it. I love you brother, and I'll carry you in my heart forever. I'll slow down a little and enjoy the beach and the sunsets a little more. I'll be a little more patient at work, and I won't take golf so serious. I love you man. Until we meet again.

When I think of Cody, one of the first things that come to mind is his heart of gold. He loved his friends and family so hard and that is the common thread of all the stories I’ve heard from so many different people these last couple weeks. He was such a kind, genuine person and that is such a rarity these days. The world truly lost one of the good ones. I’ll miss his smile and laugh and just being able to have a beer and chat after a shift with him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and patience....qualities I hope we all try a little harder to emulate and make Cody proud. Rest easy Cody; whenever I drink a Two Hearted you’ll be on my mind and my heart.

Courtney,
Cody was such a special, sweet, and kind human being. I will forever remember his smile and goofy laugh. He always tried to lighten my mood at work on rough days and was such a joy to be around. There were many nights that I will remember of him having an after work beer where we swapped long shift stories. His light shined brighter than most and he will be sorely missed. I will be thinking of you, your family, and all of SBP. Sending love.

Dear Courtney, Ashley, Jeannette and Ken,
Please accept our sincere condolences in the sudden passing of your beloved brother and son. We had the pleasure of meeting Cody when he would be winding down from a shift and hanging out with coworkers at SBP with a beer. He was kind and funny and it was easy to see how deeply connected he and Courtney were, it always warmed our hearts.
His life was cut short far too soon, but his memory and legacy of kindness will be part of your lives forever.
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you.
