My sweet, fun loving, wonderful Aunt Geri passed away unexpectedly this week. Our hearts are so sad. She was such a huge part of our lives growing up. She made everyone laugh! She was married to Paul for 41 great years, even though I know she had a secret crush on singer Neil Diamond! :.; Ha! She was the one who found my Dad with a friend and brought him home to her house and made my Mom get out of bed to come out and meet this "cute guy"! I remember that she lived with us for a short while and I was probably only 4 or 5 when she moved out. I was bawling and she kept giving me nail polish, jewelry and make up so I wouldn't be sad. When I was in high school, I had a crush on a bag boy at the local grocery store, and she'd pick me up every week to go shopping so I could flirt with him! We would scope out the store to see if we could find him!! She was so silly like that! She was always the one to stay connected with people. I loved when she would call and brag about Patrick and his sweet family! She was SO proud of him and his military career. What a great mom and aunt she was. Boy...did she ever love being a Grandma! I'd hear all kinds of stories about Madyson and Hayden and about what a great mom Kristen was for holding down the fort when Patrick was deployed.
Heaven sure gained an angel this week...one with a loud laugh, colorful, dangly earrings and a huge heart!

Geri became our friend several years ago. We were so fond of her & enjoyed talking & sharing family stories. We were so sorry to hear about her transition. She was a very compassionate & loving person. We will remember the family in prayer. Rev. Kenneth & Jerri Gavin

I will truly miss my calls from Geri. She always called to say "Hi" and see how I was doing. We talked for an hour about my activities and about Patrick, Kristen and her beautiful granddaughters. Geri cared deeply about her family and friends and always kept in touch with all of them to say "Hi" and make sure they were ok. Our entire family will miss her. God has truly received an angel.
God Bless Paul, Patrick, Kristen, Madyson and Hayden

Pat and Kristen,
I was sad to hear about your Mom. It immediately took me back to my memory of the days of Peace Lutheran and the great memories we had. The Christmas celebrations at the Heritage along with all the other fellowship events. Your Mom was always there to help and share these memories we had together at our church.
She was so very proud of you, Pat. She was your biggest fan along with being your loving mother...
May she Rest In Peace and remain safe in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our sincere condolences, Pat... May God comfort you and your family at this sad time.
