Geraldine A “Geraldine A. "Geri" Sutherlin” Sutherlin

Geraldine A. “Geri” Sutherlin, 73, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Geri was born on April 1, 1947, the youngest of nine children, to Daniel and Ernstina (Beimler) Bedunah in Benton Harbor. She attended Benton Harbor High School. On September 29, 1979, Geri married Paul W. Sutherlin at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Joseph. Geri had a beautiful, animated sense of humor, always keeping those around laughing. Family was most important to her, and Geri cherished every moment spent with them. Geri is survived by her husband of 41 years, Paul Sutherlin; son, Patrick (Kristen) Sutherlin; granddaughters, Madyson and Hayden Sutherlin; sister, Lynda (Phillip) Connell; sister-in-law, Joan Bedunah and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Ernstina Bedunah; sisters, Norma Swisher, Dorothy Frakes and Violet Angelo; brothers, Ray, Daniel, Franklin and Jimmy Bedunah.
