Marilyn and I were best friends , growing up across the street from each other in elementary and Junior high. We were always up to something, from playing dolls in our early years to listening to our favorite music in our teens. Every day we walked back and forth to school, Fairplain NorthEast, and Fairplain Junior High. Girl scouts, Orchestra, camping, dances, and walking everywhere. One day we started at the creek behind her house and walked for hours along the creekbed. We would take Hogan, her dog, for walks, including one camping trip in Ludington. These walks were memorable, because the dog was so strong it took two of us to keep him under control. Marilyn would hold onto his leash, and I would hold Marilyn's other hand and Hogan took us where he wanted to go. We had party's for our Girl Scout troop at her house. One was for disadvangated children for a Christmas party to earn a badge, and one of us played Santa. After she moved to White Cloud I came up to visit her. Roger's car had some sort of engine trouble, so stayed over longer than planned. I went to White Cloud High School with her for the day. The memories go on and on. You will be missed.
