We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Brigitte here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
I didn't know Bregetta had passed until today.....My first memory is 3rd grade, Columbus School in Benton Harbor. We had a teacher who could speak German and was able to converse with Bregetta. I was always amazed that Bregetta was learning fluent English as the teacher was translating everything for her. What ever we were learning, she had to learn in TWO languages. I've never forgotten thinking how difficult that must have been for her. I also remember being at the Noll's family home. It always smelled like wonderful baked goods and there was always German music playing on their record player. Mrs Noll made the first German Chocolate cake we ever tasted. She shared the recipe with my mom and it became a favorite at our house. I also remember when Bregetta went to the Patricia Stevens School of Modeling and Charm, and those of us who knew what that was, thought how lucky she was to have that opportunity. We knew each other for a long time..... I know she loved all of you very much

Our sincere condolences go out to Lonnie, Werner, and everyone in the Scheffler and Noll families upon your loss. My wife and I regret that the current EO would not allow us to serve a "troestenmahl" for you at the Kickers Club. If there is anything else that we can do for your wonderful families, do not hesitate to ask. Aufrichtiges Beileid von unserer Familie.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family David. Brigitte was deeply loved and will be missed by many.
I’m so sorry I’m unable to attend her celebration of life. I pray that you will be comforted by God’s love and the knowledge that Brigitte is with the Father.
Until we see her again.

Deepest sympathies to the Scheffler family and friends. Brigitte was a wonderful person and a great co-worker. We worked together at SJS Federal Savings Bank and Shoreline/Chemical Bank. We had a lot of fun and I will always remember her fondly. Rest in peace my friend.

David and Family,
So sorry to hear of your loss. Brigitte was always friendly and had a beautiful smile. She was such a hard worker. I remember playing with Brigitte on Niles Avenue in Benton Harbor as a child. This has certainly been a difficult year for everyone.
May God comfort you all. Chris (Antonowitsch) Smith, Sarasota, FL

Forty+ years of a good friendship is hard to find. We shared sunsets, cookouts, family gatherings, trips, marble games, tough and happy times. Brigitte made the best cheesecake and knew how put together an elegant party like no other. She was a strong woman in faith and family. Nana was proud of her grandchildren and children... always sharing their accomplishments. Even though this last year was very trying, she was blessed with support and comfort from her loving family. Brigitte is missed and will always be remembered by the Nelson family.

Dear Dave and family, it was a shock to hear of Brigitte's death, so sorry. Bruno and I extend our deepest and heartfelt sympathy to all of you at this most difficult time. Brigitte was a beautiful women inside and out, always smiling and caring. She will be dearly missed by all, she loved her family. The Noll family, as well as you Dave, were very much part of the Kickers Sport Club, especially in the early years. Kickers have lost another dear member and due to the pandemic the club cannot give her the farewell she so well deserved. We grieve with you and remember the good times. May you find comfort in the great memories and wonderful times you shared. May God watch over you.

I’m so sorry for the Scheffler family and friends at this loss of a wonderful woman. I always remember Brigitte having a smile on her face, musical laughter and a welcoming hug. She was my Godmother and a best friend to my parents. I know she’s in peace with Jesus now, but she will always be missed.

David and family, so so sorry to hear about Brigitte. I worked with her at Chemical Bank and she was a beautiful and fun person. I had just thought about her a few days ago. She was a wonderful cook and baker. She made us all so many cakes and cupcakes that were absolutely delicious. She loves all of you so much! Her family was the number one most important thing to her. She won’t be forgotten.

I worked with Brigitte for many years at Shoreline/Chemical Bank. I was just thinking about her a few days ago. She used to make me a cake that I loved for my birthday every year. I have so many fond memories of her. I still carry around a cute keychain she bought for me years ago. She will truly be missed. May you find peace and comfort during this difficult time.
