Our deepest sympathy for Hal’s entire family on the loss of such a kind and caring man. We first met Hal and Rose at the Saturday 5pm mass as St. Bernards and a great friendship developed. The many dinners we had with them at various restaurants around SW Michigan as well as at our house are cherished memories for us. As we have missed Rose, we now will miss Hal as well. With Love, Brenda and Mark Searfoss

My sincere and heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your special "loved one." He and Rose were wonderful members of SS John Bernard Parish. You could pick out their home from blocks away due to the beautiful flowers that Harold kept an eye on. Rose was my right-hand gal regarding Hospital Visits. They formed a beautiful Couple - I recall visits to their beautiful home with my Assistant, Father Mike Reject. Always, a wonderful treat! I feel honored to have had your "loved ones" as a part of my twelve year journey at SS John & Bernard Parish. We know they are now back together - happily enjoying their well deserved reward ... Eternal rest Grant on to them O' Lord, and Let Perpetual Light Shine upon them./ May they Rest in Peace. Amen!
Fondly, Fr. Bill Jacobs - former Pastor of SS John & Bernard Parish.

I lived in the little white house across Mohawk from Hal and Rose from 1996-2000. The sweetest, most caring couple. I always got such a kick out of how proud Hal was with his lawn. Nobody could stand a chance to having a better manicured and green lawn. Such a sweet man.....I’m so very sorry for your loss. Prayers for comfort and peace to your family. Sincerely, Kim Erny
