Wayne, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your wife Darla, Unfortunately, Tina and I didn't make it up to Michigan in person today to express our condolences. We wanted to let you know, that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time.

Darla has been my very best friend for 23 years. She was a Godly woman who loved the Lord, her husband, children, grandchildren, her family and her church family. She served the Lord and others selflessly and with Joy. I was always amazed by the love she shared with others. She had great faith and was a prayer warrior. She was caring, funny, down-to-earth and beautiful inside and out. She was faithful, ran a good race, and fought the good fight. What a blessing to know that life's final journey leads to the eternal peace that waits for us in heaven. May the Lord bring comfort to all of you and may he give you his peace that passes all understanding. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God. Isaiah 43: 2-3

My condolences to the family. I used to live around the corner from Cushings and we rode the same bus. Prayers to the family - she left this plane too soon.

I remember Darla when she was in junior high and high school. Darla and my daughter Laurie were friends. They enjoyed visiting at each other’s homes. I am sorry for your loss. I know Darla will be greatly missed by her family. and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you. .
