Pete was definitely one of a kind!!!! Pete and Tooter were railroad buddies and good friends. Pete helped us out so many times with whatever issues we had - we could always count on him. Tooter always said if you tell Pete he can't fix something that was a challenge to Pete and he would do his best to fix the problem. I remember when he smoked a raccoon out of our friend's chimney. We had many cookouts over the years and Pete & Nancy and the girls were always included. I introduced Pete to Nancy at our house so Pete "owes me one"!!!! Pete & Tooter would always have to go over the day's work on the railroad so that was a visiting time and a few beverages. Those were the good days and many good memories. There are so many funny stories that could be told. God rest your soul Pete.

Nancy and kids, It is sad to learn of Pete's passing although he is a much better place. Lots of memories at the Brinkman well - beverages consumed and stories galore. Pete would help anybody with anything. Always present at staff parties at the house. Thoughts and prayers are with you guys always

It is so sad to think that our beloved Petey is gone. One of the kindest, nicest, funniest men on the face of the earth. He was a fixture in our house growing up and we looked forward to each time he and Nancy and the girls would stop over. He was one of my parent’s best friends and a loyal friend at that. He was a gifted “Mr. Fix It” and could repair anything from electrical issues to the bowling lanes at Theo’s Lanes/Diamond Bowl. He made everyone laugh and feel at ease. He was so popular among his railroad buddies and my dad was honored to be the best man at his wedding to Nancy Jo. When my sisters and I think of the happiest memories from our childhood Pete, Nancy, and the girls were at the center of those memories. We will miss this wonderfully special human being. I’m sorry I will not be able to make the visitation on Friday as Chuck and I will be out of the country. Make no mistake that you will be thought of that day and beyond. Love to you all!!!

It’s so hard to believe that Pete is gone. I have so many great childhood memories of Pete as he was at our house almost everyday! So many funny stories, so many laughs. Pete had a heart of gold and he was always willing to help out with whatever was needed! I’m sorry I won’t be at the visitation but you will all be in my thoughts!

We are so sorry to hear of Pete's passing. We have so many great memories of him spending time at our house with my mom and dad! He and Tooter were good friends, and there are so many good stories involving Pete that we still laugh about to this day! He will be missed! I'm sure he and Tooter are having a beer! Our condolences to all of you.
