To Marti’s family,
I am very sorry for my late condolence, though I have just heard of your dear mother’s passing. She was a bright ray of sunshine to anyone who knew her. She was a friend when I needed one most as I had moved away from home in Southern Indiana to Buchanan, knowing no one. She and I worked together at the Buchanan Public Library. She and I immediately were
Friends, she invited me to church and took me to lunch several times . She was so kind and loving and knew just what to say to make others around her feel better. Please know your mother was a jewel to all who know her and her kindnesses will always remain in my heart.

Dear Budd, Alice and family, I worked at Hearing Diagnostic Center in South Bend for 12 yrs. Marti was one of my favorite patients. We had lunch together and talked on the phone quite a bit. Somehow we lost touch lately. I truly loved your mother. She was one of the kindest and most gentle women I've ever known. I know she's up in heaven with her beloved Frank smiling down on all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and with her.
