Warren Roger's Obituary
Traverse City, MI. He was born March 23, 1946 in Saint Joseph, MI to Everett and Virginia
(Casselman) Howard. Warren graduated from Benton Harbor High School and Central Michigan
University, where he earned his Michigan teaching certificate.
Warren married Rose Ann Wiacek on January 27, 1968 at St. Basil Catholic Church in South Haven,
MI and was a devoted husband. They raised two children and had a wonderful marriage until her
passing in 2002. Warren enjoyed teaching math and driver’s education at Hartford High School.
Warren also enjoyed tractors, farming, classic cars, traveling, reading, woodworking, and BBQ ribs.
He had a calming presence and was a wonderful listener. Family meant the world to Warren. He
maintained many family traditions including special birthday dinners, Fourth of July fireworks
celebrations, pumpkin picking and carving, and attending New Year’s Fest. Warren made Christmas
extra special with annual trips to select Christmas trees, by giving each grandchild a gingerbread kit
to make, and by attending church, sharing Christmas morning, and spending Christmas Day with
both of his children and all of his grandchildren every year. Warren constantly showed his support
for his grandchildren by attending their performances and competitions.
Warren leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory including his children: Kimberly (Guy)
Gramzow and Jeannie (Tom) Cole; five grandchildren: Nadia, Lexi, and Kaleigh Gramzow and Sophia
and Isabel Cole; great granddaughter, Brooklyn Cole; and several nieces and nephews.
Warren was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his brother: Randall Howard, and his
granddaughter: Kalyn Cole.
