I've known the Baker family since 1950 when Mrs. Baker babysat my sister and I after school when I was in kindergarten and we lived on Superior St. I have some good memories from those days playing with the girls. Bonnie and I stayed in touch when we could and have become very good friends once again over the last 10 plus years. She is a very dear friend and so sorry for her family's loss. My deepest sympathy to Joyce, Robert and all the family. RIP Violet.

I first met Violet in 1991 when my then husband, Jeff and I began sharing the Spencer Appliance building with her and Robert, Jr. as our HVAC business was expanding. We worked side by side and Violet was such a lovely woman. It was through this connection I met my current and forever husband, Jason Mika, who was employed by them. I can’t begin to say the blessings this connection has brought to me and my family!
