I've known the Baker family since 1950 when Mrs. Baker babysat my sister and I after school when I was in kindergarten and we lived on Superior St. I have some good memories from those days playing with the girls. Bonnie and I stayed in touch when we could and have become very good friends once again over the last 10 plus years. She is a very dear friend and so sorry for her family's loss. My deepest sympathy to Joyce, Robert and all the family. RIP Violet.

I first met Violet in 1991 when my then husband, Jeff and I began sharing the Spencer Appliance building with her and Robert, Jr. as our HVAC business was expanding. We worked side by side and Violet was such a lovely woman. It was through this connection I met my current and forever husband, Jason Mika, who was employed by them. I can’t begin to say the blessings this connection has brought to me and my family! My most cherished memory that will continue to live on in my heart forever was her constant principle of faith and advice I’ve passed on now to dozens of others for a few decades now, which is, “If you pray, why worry? If you worry, why pray? Enjoy your happy reunions Violet, with your family and friends on the other side of the veil, your Savior and your Father in Heaven, in whom I know you put your faith throughout your mortal life and in whose arms you will now safely rest for eternity!! ❤️?❤️
