Our family has been blessed to have Aunt Valda for so many years. She was such a strong woman and we know she is finally at rest. We know that there is a reunion going on and we thank our Lord for the time that we did have her. Our condolences go out to Jim and family.

Valda was a dear friend. She and Bob and Oscar and I did many things together--going out to dinner, Square Dancing, color tours up north, and playing cards. Whatever we did together we always had fun. Such fond memories.

Sorry to learn of Valda’s passing. She was a friend to my mother, Janet Reid. She lived in my grandmother’s rooming house before she married. May God comfort the family.

Our prayers go out to the family. My Mom (Shirley Bus) counted her as a close and wonderful friend.

Valda was the kindest person I think I've ever known. Always smiling and happy to see you. I've known her since her days at the Drug store and Hales. Long time. She will be missed. Brenda Balfour

I worked with Valda at McDonald's Drug store when I was still in high school. She was always kind and helpful. She would have a friend and me over to her home and taught us how to apply and wear makeup. It was fun and I have good memories!
