My heart deeply aches for the entire family. Scott and Dodi, you were everything to him indeed as he would always tell me how you were doing and how proud he was of you both. His grandkids were always a warm conversation. His jokes would keep a room alive. Rick was always like another Dad to me growing up and another brother from another mother to my Dad as we all grew together as next door neighbors for 40+ years. Rick was a Mr. Edwards from Little House on the prarie kinda guy. He would always be there for you when you were in need. He would give you the socks off his feet in cold winters if ya needed them and a warm smile or hug when that was needed more. His jokes and quirky little jingles would make the hardest of days seem not, so bad. Rick was a gentleman and would always give us boys his ideas of how to treat a lady and would often over the years so many times profess his love for his wonderful wife, Linda. He could be anything he needed to be from the friend next door, the brother in your back pocket or even Santa Clause of a cold blizzardy Christmas Eve. He loved playing cards , Cribbage with my Dad for hours in his younger years and always had a love for a sip of moonshine. He was a good wrench in the garage but would always listen to my advice if he stopped by with a problem beyond his Automotive experience. From demolition cars, his old John Deere tractor pulling us kids on a car hood through the local fields snow or no snow to motorcycles and even a wheelie bus that would scare the life out of us kids. I grew up with him being my idle from his "hold my beer and watch this" kind of attitude no matter what he was doing. He was a proud man and taught Scott and myself many helpful things growing up. Thank You Rick for everything. Your life made many a friend and family a better person. Thankyou for the memories to hold dear to heart. Love all of you family and friends of Rick's. Allan Ridley & the entire Ridley family send you each our love.
