Ray's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Ray here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
All I can say is what a great guy. I really got to know Ray when I was in my late teens and early twenties. I would stop at Brown’s to get a new lockset or tool for my then contracting business and Ray was always there to help. Soft spoken and always a smile. It didn’t hurt that we were both tool guys either. One of the good ones and he is always thought of fondly and will certainly be missed. My heart goes out to Cheryl, Lori, Doug and their entire family. Rest well Ray you deserve it.

Ray was a very special and very wonderful man. We have so many happy memories of him going back many years....working on projects at Grace, lunches with the Grace Quilters, sharing family celebrations, remodeling work at our home, doing maintenance at our business and usually with a little serious talk and lots of laughter thrown in along the way. "Ask Ray" were words used often by both of us. His heart was huge and his kindness legendary in our family. His faith was strong and he truly believed actions spoke louder than words. Ray's quiet presence will be missed by many but especially his wonderful family. We send them our love and our prayers at this difficult time. Rest in peace dear friend...see you on the other side.

I first met Ray when he was a student at Grace Lutheran in School in my class. He was always a very pleasant child to work with. In most recent years I worked with him in the children’s ministry at church. He is a very loving and caring and giving person, he has a special place in heaven saved for him !

I have known Ray almost my entire life. My wife Donna (Daniel) and I both attended Grace Lutheran School at that same time as Ray and knew him well. We also know all of his brothers and sisters. We always said that there were no better people than the Sernau's and Ray was proof of that. He will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Sernau family.

Although it has been more than several years, the memories I have of the Sernau family are most precious and wonderful. Ray is celebrating in heaven with his mom and dad. To the rest of this wonderful family, cherish your memories and lives together and know that I'm sending prayers for you.
