I got to know Ralf through work and, most especially, through his involvement with the Pfizer project's Incident and Injury Free programme. The energy, passion and enthusiasm Ralf brought to us during that programme was exceptional and was an indication of who he was as a person - a true gentleman who positively influenced everyone who came in contact with him. I will miss Ralf's smile and energy and am honoured that I was able to experience and live in it while I had the chance.

Ralf was an amazing man and true friend. A treasure! We shared videos of Ralf on his tractor that he so enjoyed and caring for his precious bees with our family and friends. They saw the bright light in Ralf and feel as though they have met him. Our hearts are full having known Ralf and having the blessing of his and Andrea’s friendship.

I only got to know Ralf a couple of years ago through work. He was great to work with as an Automation Professional and he we a delight to be around as a person. We shared many stories and found we had a lot in common. I traveled with Ralf in Germany working on FAT's for our project where he also became a tour Guide and would recommend food and beverage for us after a long days work. He was a good Man and a good friend and I loved him. I will miss him, his big old smiling face and his kind heart. Rest in peace my friend. I will see you again in a little while.

When I think of Ralph I think of someone who truly loved Jesus Christ as his savior. His insights into Gods written Word was so encouraging. The Lord has his heart and his all. In Christ Family of Ralph he will be missed. Ralph’s son and wife we prayed for often at our BSF men group. Keep walking with Jesus , keep making God’s Word a priority for getting to know our savior and how to walk him daily. In Christ, I wish I could at his memorial.

Alles Liebe Dorothea Wende

I first met Ralf just a couple of years back on business in Germany. What a great sense of humour and sharp intellect he had. I looked forward to spending time with him as he was truly a pleasure to be around and will be dearly missed. RIP Ralf.

I have fond memories of Ralf and his family. Fabian was one of my good friends during my time in Michigan and we still stay connected to this day. Ralf was always good to provide a laugh and an insightful thought. I will always remember his proud, bold personality and his vibrant life. He will make a great addition in Heaven.

Liebe Andrea, lieber Fabian, liebe Jenny, liebe Enkelkinder, WARUM? Warum so früh?

Dear Andrea and Fabian, Even though it has been many years since we have seen you we are shocked and saddened by the passing of Ralf. We have many wonderful memories of you when both our families were new immigrants in St. Joe. Ralf was a kind and wonderful friend and we hope his memory sustains you in this difficult time. We will keep you and your family in our prayers. Much love Michelle and Terence Gilbert

Dear Kleinschmidt family we are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Ralf and wish your family our thoughts and prayers. Ralf had a passion for fishing and was always so much fun to be around. He will also be missed by many of my fishing buddies. I had the pleasure of working with Ralf for several years at Pfizer. We first met nearly 20 years ago translating German wiring diagrams and troubleshooting programs for a Klockner Thermoformer/Blister tablet machine. We quickly became fishing buddies with similar interests and Ralf would often trade fishing lures with me that he would bring back from tackle shops in Wiesbaden, Germany. When I lost my flip phone in Lake Erie he went out of his way to make me a commerative wooden plaque with a cell phone fashioned into a fishing lure called Cast-N-Call. On the back of this plaque was a copy of my "loss of cell phone" email that was signed by nearly everyone in the Automation, Engineering & QO Validation department. This plaque has always been a favorite conversation piece in my fishing tackle collection. From ice fishing to open water fishing Ralf always was excited to be in the outdoors. Petri Heil and Petri Dank Ralf as you will always be remembered in our ice fishing adventures!
