Michael's Obituary

Michael Scott Levi, lovingly known as “Big Mike”, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, March 11, 2022. Mike was 56 years old and resided in St. Joseph, MI.

The visitation and celebration of life services will both be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, with Pastor Brian Rumer officiating. The visitation will begin at 11AM, and the celebration of life service will begin promptly at 1PM. Friends are welcome to visit with Mike’s family from 11AM until the closing of the celebration of life service. A private burial will then take place at Fish Lake Cemetery in Marcellus.

Mike was born on April 19, 1965, to Gerald & Hilary (Young) Levi in Benton Harbor. He graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1983 and then continued his education at Ferris State and Western Michigan University, earning a Master’s in Accounting. Mike worked as Chief Financial Officer for Eagle Technologies for 22 years, where he and his family formed numerous lifelong friendships.

Mike was a selfless, Christian man who was enthusiastic about helping and teaching others in any way he could. He loved coaching his kids and their friends in sports growing up. He enjoyed spending time boating, playing yard games, taking pictures, attending Notre Dame games, and designing homes with his kids. Most of all, Mike cherished spending time with and giving himself to the people he loved.

Mike is survived by his children, Clinton Levi of St. Joseph, Molly (Christopher) Craft of Hudsonville, Jennifer (Daniel) Stormont of Buchanan and Jeffrey Wiles of Stevensville; parents, Gerald & Hilary Levi of Stevensville; siblings, Steve (Mary) Levi of Watervliet and Heather Bier of St. Joseph; and nieces & nephews, Shannon (Michael) Milnickel, Easton Levi, Sarah Levi, Roman Levi and Emma Bier.
