To Pam and Family, I am so sorry to just now hear about Mike’s passing. He was a great neighbor and friend growing on State Street together. Many days were spent playing football and basketball with Mike. His athleticism always stood out. Mike was kind enough to take time out of his police duties to attend my parent’s funeral. My family sincerely appreciated his presence. His stellar record of service to the citizens of St Joe during his law enforcement career is to be admired and never forgotten. RIP Mike.

Michael Westbrook Kline. What a great name. It seems like I have known Foot my entire life. It started in Little League. Through our high school years and the first couple years of college we were inseparable. Playing baseball and basketball together. Hanging out every weekend. We worked at my dad‘s produce company for three years together. We took vacations together, had a lot of laughs, and memories that can never be forgotten. From Toronto, the Kentucky Derby, and spring training in Florida, We were inseparable. When I saw Foot a couple weeks ago for three days in hospice, it was very sad, however, that sadness has turned into great joy. It helped me remember all the good times and laughs that we had. I will miss you every day, but I will also remember our good times every day. I will love you forever, my brother. Best wishes to Pam and Morgan. You both know I will always be there for you. Rest in peace, my dear friend, until we meet again. ❤️??

Pam, So sorry to hear about Mike's passing, Kristen updated us about his cancer just a couple weeks ago. Growing up in St. Joe we all knew Mike, and especially his involvement with St. Joe baseball and some of my younger brothers. Deep condolences, Eric Gersonde

I've known Foot since 7th grade. So many good times, and not a one where we didn't have some laughs. Whether it was a week, or 6 months since we saw each other, we picked up right where we left off. He was a lifetime friend and I will miss him dearly. This morning I was sitting outside in my hot tub. When I looked around, I thought "what a beautiful day", and its fitting for Foot. There was only one cloud in the sky, and I'll be damned, it looked like the state of Florida. Such a reminder of Foot. Then the cloud gradually changed shape. The Panhandle got really thin, near Fort Meyer's the shape started to get more of a curve, and Key West started to curve upwards. It looked just like the Goodyear logo, only with the toes pointing to the right. It was a Foot! I don't really believe in those things, but wow, I could only imagine Foot up there laughing and saying "I got you Keener". Love you Foot!

I first met Mike as part of seeing the St. Valentine Day Massacre Thompson submachine guns owned by the Berrien County Sheriff's Office. Mike's presentation did not focus on the harm caused by these two infamous submachine guns but on the development of forensic ballistics invented by scientist Calvin Goddard. Mike's ability during his presentations to take a heinous act by criminals and turn it into a positive outcome was simply amazing. We definitely lost one of the good guys. We will miss seeing Foot around the neighborhood walking Snuggles. We will miss our impromptu talks over the backyard fence. We will miss his friendship. We will miss Foot.
