Mary's Obituary
Mary Evelyn Spruell, 95, of St. Joseph, was called home to the Lord in the early morning of Friday, July 29, 2022.
Her life began on March 5, 1927 in Baldwyn, Mississippi, and she moved to Benton Harbor in 1946 with her husband Edward Spruell. She will be fondly remembered for her sewing, knitting and crocheting skills, her laughter, and her ability to selflessly help family and friends in need.
Mary will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Jackson and her husband Bob Jackson; grandchildren Baris Telimen, Scott Jackson, John Jackson, Vicki Creasy, and Jennifer Spruell, as well as her great-grandchildren Ashley Minnick, Edward Creasy, and Josh Creasy; her daughter-in-law Beth Mann and her daughter Tabitha and husband Herman; her dear friends Dale and Mona of St. Joseph; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband and WWII veteran Edward Spruell, her daughter Linda Telimen, and son David Spruell. A private family visitation for Mary will be held at Starks Funeral Home in St. Joseph on Tuesday, August 2 at 9:30 a.m. Mary will be subsequently laid to rest at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma with services at 10:30 A.M. with Rev.
