I knew Mrs. Bowen as a mother, first. Some of my fondest childhood memories are attending birthday parties that she hosted. They were the parties of my dreams! Games, lots of decorations, and party food graciously served by Dennis Bowen to a roomful of excited little girls. When it was time to go home there were always party favors to take home, and Mrs. Bowen always included something extra to take home for my younger sister. Mrs. Bowen didn't forget my birthday either. She often came by with a present for me - and a little something for my sister too! I was sorry that I could not attend Lynn's funeral, but I have been thinking about her and her generosity and kindness a lot this last month. I planned a birthday party for my now 6 year old daughter (whom Lynn met when she was 7 days old!), and I made sure to include goody bags for the attendees' sisters. Just as Mrs. Bowen would have done. Thanks Mrs. Bowen. You will not be forgotten.

Dear Lynn, We, your Swedish relatives, remember you as a happy, generous and positive person, we experienced this when we visited you and Dennis in your home in St. Joseph. We also had the pleasure of you coming to visit us in Sweden and had then the privilege of being able to go, among other things, to the place and farm where your grandmother Hilma was born and the church where she was confirmed. We all wish you REST IN PEACE. Your Swedish relatives, Alf, Gert, Hanna and Christoffer.

Lynn was a great lady! I helped her and Dennis with their computers. Heaven gained another angel! I will miss her smile and talks with Lynn - My deepest condolences to the family at this time.

My heart is heavy learning of Lynnβs passing. She was my kindergarten teacher and caused me to love school. We kept in touch all these years seeing her at the hospital when she volunteered there and running into each other often. She spoke to me often through Facebook. We were planning on lunch soon as she was concerned for me that my husband suddenly died on June 6. My deepest condolences to her family. She will surely be missed.
