Larry was so kind and friendly. I knew Larry at the YMCA in St. Joseph and we talked often in the lobby when my kids were young. I'm so thankful for knowing him. He will be so missed.

Reading his life made me think that Larry Wagner achieved the American dream. His life could have been the subject of a film: athlete, Marine, successful businessman, loving husband, father, and grandfather, a man of faith and service to others. I wish I had known him better. But I also got to know him somewhat through knowing his oldest daughter, Reggie, who became a niece through marriage. I know that the family will grieve his loss, but I hope they are also grateful that he shared such a loving life with them and his community of St. Joseph. I only wish I had known him better in life. Rest in peace, Larry. Yours was a life well lived.

Many wonderful memories were to be made the day Larry, Susie and their family moved next door to us on Old Hickory Lane. Through the years those memories continued as our children grew up and we both moved away from the street we met. Such wonderful Christmas parties were always a highlight of the season. Larry, you certainly will be missed!

I first got to know Larry in 1996 when he graciously gave his beautiful daughter, Reggie, to be my son’s wife. Over the years, I heard and enjoyed many stories about ‘Bop’ from his grandchildren. He was truly a loving Dad and Grandfather and will be missed by many. Rest In Peace, Larry. You did a great job!

We will always remember Larry as a caring man. As a baseball coach, he taught the boys more than baseball fundamentals. He taught life lessons about integrity, teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. He was a wonderful role model. Our condolences to the family. Steve and Becky Doak
