I have very fond memories of Mr. Zielke from my childhood. He was an Awana leader at Oakridge Baptist and he was a favorite. He was always friendly and welcoming and made the experience fun. Though it had been years since I had seen him, the time I spent with him was impactful and memorable. Thank you to the family for sharing that with me and my family.

I would have to say the fondest memories of my buddy Klaus, would be the November trips to the upper peninsula going deer hunting. He and I would travel together and had many personal and private talks about life and I think we both came away better men from it. He told me there was no generation gap between us. I never forgot that! I’m thinking of biscuits and gravy, bacon, spoon eggs and fried apples and then burning it all off walking in the woods, building ground blinds and dreaming of shooting the big one. So thankful for being able to share such great times with all the Zielke’s in our early years at Oakridge Baptist. Our deepest condolences to Susann and the family. We love you!

Paula and I are so glad we got to visit Klaus last September. He was a true friend to me, and my spiritual mentor during our time at Oakridge Baptist. He truly pointed everyone he knew toward Christ.
