Kay's Memory Wall

I am heartbroken that I didn't know about Kay's illness and passing until today. She always called me her "little sister" even though we weren't related. We met almost 50 years ago when she and her family lived next door to my parents. I always enjoyed being with her whether it was when we had swimming races in their pool after my wedding or staying with she and Tom in Naples. She was one in a million! My parents loved her too. She shared a birthday (not the year just the day) with my dad so we would always talk about how much we both loved him too. A long time ago we decided that great people must be born on the same day! The world has lost a shining light.

I knew Kay for only a few years at the Strand—enough time to know she was a special woman with a engaging smile. A woman who got up at 4am to help the newspaper delivery man hand deliver his morning papers, who always was kind &friendly to new golfers and residents. I was especially privileged to partake in her “adult” cocoa station in her golf cart on cold days.Kay warmed hearts in many ways. Sandy Janssen

Kay was one of the most loving and giving people I have ever met. She invited me to join her golf group when I could barely hit a ball. Over the years - it wasn't about golf - it was about a friendship and life lessons that made our relationship work. She will be missed by many of the people whose life she changed - mine included. I will be forever grateful that she had been a part of my life for the past 18 years. I will miss you my dear friend. T

Kay was a much loved member of The Strand in Naples. She was the first person I met when I arrived. She took me under her wing and made sure I was in a golf group. Beyond that, Kay always welcomed me to all holiday gatherings and made me part of her Naples family. Kay was a kind and unselfish person, who genuinely cared for everyone. I feel so blessed to have known her and called her my friend. I miss her so much!

Kay was such an amazing woman who inspired people to be the best person they could be. As an employer she always treated me with the most respect and encouraged me to grow in the company by helping with anything from product knowledge to the best way to help the customers. I am so blessed to have worked for her and have her as a friend.
