Julie's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Julie here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
My cousin Julie and I spent time together as young children, walking to Sunday School, riding bikes, playing in the snow, and playing board games during Christmas break. In high school we were involved in our own interests but after I got married, John and I joined her and Scott and other friends to play cards. Unfortunately, we moved out west and then didn’t get to see each other very often (but always stayed in touch). After my husband passed away 10 years ago, Julie and Sean came out to California to visit me in 2015. We had a great visit! Since then I saw her at our class reunion in 2019, and then this summer when my son and two grandchildren and I were visiting Michigan in July. I only wish we would have spent more time together then! But I’ll always remember her as a great cousin and the special memories I have of our times together. Love you Jul!
❤️ My heart goes out to you Scott, Sean, and Tim!

Julie started out as my coworker and became my very cherished friend. She was so, so witty and intelligent and, cheesy as it sounds, she taught me about life and also about myself. She had infinite amounts of love and patience for animals and we bonded over our shared love of fur babies (and for her, fur grandbabies). Each evening she would send me her Wordle and we would chat about our day. The way that she would, without fail, make a little time to text with me each day made me feel incredibly cared about and I’ve never had a friend make time for me so consistently in their daily life. She always showed her care and concern for me when I was going through something, even during her last month when she was going through something herself. We shared so many laughs and stories and I felt like she saw me and accepted me for who I was, faults and all. She was loyal, hilarious, and stood up for what she believed in. She genuinely delighted in celebrating the successes of the students she worked with at LMC and encouraged them to not give up in times of disappointment. The passing of Julie is a huge, devastating loss. I’ll miss her daily. The world lost an incredible lady who was unapologetically, authentically herself and I hope we can all be a little more like her. I knew we would be friends until the end but I didn’t know that would be so soon. I will always wish I had more time to laugh and chat with her. My heart goes out to Sean and the rest of her family. If I can ever do anything to be of help to you, I’m forever happy to do anything I can for the people Julie loved! Thank you for sharing her with the rest of us!
