I’m greatly saddened by Jon’s too early passing. I had the good fortune to know Jon from two perspective - first as opposing counsel and then as members of the same law firm. As opposing counsel, I saw an immensely talented lawyer - who added decency to the process. He was always honest above board - and very, very effective. As members of the same firm, I saw a terrific lawyer who was a greatly admired gentleman. I was sorry when he left our firm. I feel for his family and friends. I’m sure he has a special chair in a special place

Jon was one of, if not the most, admired person I knew in our legal department in my almost 35 years with Consumers. To say his wit was dry is an understatement of significant proportion. He was the best. I had the honor and privilege of working with Jon on many matters. He approached all with humility, grace and humor. I am shocked and saddened at his passing. Wishing his friends and family the sincerest of condolences during this difficult time.

Juli and family I'm so sorry for your loss of Jon. I loved being your neighbor on Sundance. Your obituary was beautifully written about Jon it made me smile many times especially his feeling for McKenna. The memory that will stay with me is Jon reading a book in your beautiful yard sitting in his anarondeck chair. My thought And Prayers are with you

I was so sad to hear about Jon's passing. Jon hired me at Consumers Energy 11 years ago and remains one of the best bosses and most talented attorneys I've ever had the pleasure to work with (and that's saying a lot). I will always remember his intelligence and confident leadership. And I will always remember his kindness and mentorship to me personally. To Jon's family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope it's some comfort to know that Jon was widely loved, respected, and admired even beyond your family circle.
