Kids. Your Dad bought my Grandparents house on 44 Cass Street. He graciously let me in and reminisce. How kind of him.

It was such a pleasure to take care of you, and MaryAnn for so many yrs. Life was never boring around you. We enjoyed playing music, and singing Willie Nelson songs, planning menus, and having political discussions. I enjoyed hearing about your football yrs, your world travels, your culinary skills, and your reuniting with your high school sweetheart. I enjoyed seeing you with your GreatGranddaughter, and hearing you brag on her accomplishments, and how smart you thought she was. Meeting all your family and getting to them was special as well. You had some amazing stories to tell about all of them. Your love of flowers led us to many greenhouses, where we enjoyed going to the local greenhouses and handpicking your favorite flowers. Your yard was the talk of the neighborhood. You further amazed me in that you were able to go to the gym until just a few months ago. The life you led, both as a civilian, and Officer in the US Army, serving our country for much of your life is exemplary. I will miss you, but I know you're in a better place, SirJohn, Thank you for your service. Thank you for the privilege of being your friend. I salute you Sir, to a life well lived.

Rest in peace my friend. Many fond memories of our conversations over a cup of coffee at McDonald's and the Golden Brown. You will be missed by many whose lives you have touched and friends that enjoyed your company.
