So sorry that this wonderful woman passed from this world, but we know she is now in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus. She was so sweet and loved her family and her God dearly. I was blessed to call her friend and learn about her younger years growing up in the Newel House. May God comfort her family until they see her again. I will see you on the other side Joan!

My cousin, Joan, was one of the sweetest, most caring, generous and loving people I have ever known. She was a people person and loved gatherings with family and friends, where she always provided wonderful dishes to share. She was a great cook! After her accident and confinement to the nursing home, she tried to stay upbeat and find good things to be happy about. The pandemic was very hard on her, though, and I miss the conversations and visits we used to be able to have. I know she’s in a better place because of her complete faith in God, and I’m glad that she is no longer confused, lonely or in pain. See you again in heaven one day, Joan. I love you.
