My prayers go out to Mr. VanderKolk’s wife and family. He was my teacher at L C Mohr High School. My love for science grew from him. He was a special teacher and a kind man.

One of my favorite teachers, and a great neighbor when we lived on Phoenix Street many years ago. Rest in peace, Mr. VanderKolk.

Dear VanderKolk family, We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Ann and I both experienced Jim’s wonderful teaching skills in his biology class. Whenever we saw him years after our high school days, he called us by name and always asked about our family. He was a very kind and thoughtful man. We wish you comfort and peace.

Dear Vander Kolk and Vincent Families, although I didn’t know Jim personally, I watched him walk the halls of LC Mohr when I was a student and heard dad-in-law tales from Scott. With that being said I wish you all peace, comfort, courage, and peace at this time of sorrow. Remember the fond memories and keep him alive in your mind.
