We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Henrietta here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Natalie, I was saddened to learn of Heni's passing. We became close friends in grade school and attended church together through our teens and early twenties. We lost touch for a few years after I moved out of state but reconnected later via email and remained in touch. We had lunch together a few years ago while she was visiting her aunt near my home and we enjoyed catching up. My husband passed away on March 20 and she was very supportive, offering prayers and advice. She will be missed by many. My condolences to you and your family.

I am so sorry I am seeing this notice so late. I worked with the wonderful and talented Henrietta at Coloma Elementary School. She and were husband, Hugh, were the very best people and friends one could have. I am sorry for the family and other friends to have this great loss.

I will miss talking to her though we only spoke about every three months. She had such a unique voice and was always was so supportive of my many health issues. She consistently supported my work at an orphanage in Mexico and wanted every detail of my frequent trips down there. We go way back to being in Church together as teens. I will miss your smile and laughter that I can still here echoing now as I write this - Heni ... stop awhile and drink from that crystal river and go visit your Lord whom you will spend eternity with!

Natalie, I'm beyond saddened of hearing about your mom's passing. I'm so sorry for your loss. She loved you so very much. I owned Cutting Corners in Coloma for many years, until I retired, then Tammy Conrad cut her hair. I loved your mom! Her smiling face always greated me, and her laughter was contagious. We shared our love for Jesus every time she was in my chair. I know that she is on her knees worshipping God, right now! We both prayed for our kids and family, faithfully. And her love for you, you get to carry that on in your heart and share so many wonderful memories with your girls. I am so glad that I knew your mom, and that I will spend eternity with her and my Lord God.

I am simply beyond... Heni, so kind, lived behind me. She would give me fresh vegetables over the fence every summer. A truly generous soul.

"Mrs. D," as every Coloma Elementary student knew her (because "De La Foret" was a tongue twister at that age), was universally beloved because her smile and kindness were as wide as her patience was deep. I am so glad to have run into her at the dog park just a few short months ago, and have one last chance to reconnect with her. My condolences to her family, and my sincere thanks for sharing her with all of us!

I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was my classmate and only lived a block away. My Samson and her Bernie were good buddies.
