Hans's Obituary
Hans Koppenhoefer, 90, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.
Hans was born June 19, 1932 in Zweibrucken, Germany to Nickolas & Charlotte (Hilbrant) Koppenhoefer. On March 28, 1983 he married Velia Ruiz in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hans worked for West Michigan Tool & Die for many years. Hans was a member of the D.A.N.K for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed German crossword puzzles, listening to German music, visiting museums and learning about trains and airplanes. Most of all he was a loving husband, father, grandpa and enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s sporting events. Family meant everything to him.
Hans is survived by his wife Velia Koppenhoefer; sons Hans (Lisa) Koppenhoefer Jr., Daniel Koppenhoefer, and Efren (Maria) Paredes Jr.; grandchildren Landon, Makaiah, Mayeli, Estrella and Mila; and great grandson Xavier. Hans was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Ella, Louise and Rosel.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service.
