George's Obituary

George Klingspon, 91, of Galien, MI passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Spectrum Health Lakeland in Niles.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday July 15, 2022 at Washington Avenue Church of God, 4051 Washington Ave., St. Joseph with Pastor Andy Hannich officiating. Burial will follow at Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Stark & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. George was born August 31, 1930 in Germany. George and his first wife Martha worked on the family farm in Baroda for many years until her passing. He worked for New Products for 25 years as well as for the Berrien County Road Commission for 15 years. On October 4, 2004 George married Etta Hillman Brewer. He enjoyed playing the organ and the accordion as well as spending time with his family and his dog Bella.

George is survived by his wife Etta Klingspon; sons Lee (Renee) Klingspon and Dave (Sandy) Klingspon; grandchildren Andrea (Jesse) Queen, Adam Klingspon, and Zach Adams; five step-grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren; and a sister. He is also survived by stepchildren Bob Brewer, Keith (Diane) Brewer, Leann (Craig) Carpenter, and Stephanie (Jon) Skales; eight step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Martha Klingspon; daughters Mary Jean Hinkelman and Lori Klingspon; grandchildren Rebecca and Jessica Hinkelman; and two brothers.
