Douglas's Memory Wall

First of all, my thoughts go to Doug's family. So sorry for your loss. I had the great pleasure of working with Doug at BCG. He was my manager on my very first project back in 2005. I still have so many good memories from back then - especially how Doug handled both positive and challenging situations. Regardless of the circumstances he always carried himself in a kind, calm and inspiring way. On numerous occasions later in my later life where I faced a severe challenge, I thought "how would Doug have handled this". He was a great person and mentor.

Doug was one of the finest managers I've ever had (BCG) and has been an inspiring mentor for almost 20 years. His impact will live on through the example he set for all of us who followed him. We've lost a good one!

Doug was my physics lab partner Kenyon College and some of my best memories of that time include him. I could tell, even then, how much he loved his (then) fiancé and that he was going to live a remarkable life. Doug will be missed!

Doug was one of my first bosses out of college (at BCG) and stayed on as a mentor over the past 25+ years... if not for Doug's clear guidance and support, I would never had the courage to become an entrepreneur! He always made himself available and I often pass along his wisdom to folks that ask me for advice. A great role model end to end... he was incredibly proud of his children and family and remained grounded on keeping family first throughout his career. Our thoughts and prayers are with his whole family.

Doug was a colleague and manager of mine at BCG. We have stayed in touch ever since. He was a great friend and mentor - smart, kind, always willing to talk and help, and great company when we met up. My condolences to his family.
