Shari and Family, Although I have not spoken with Donnie in years, there have been many times I have reminisced of the good old days, and Donnie was a big part of many of those memories. The pain I feel from his loss cannot compare to yours, but please take comfort in knowing that losing a great man like him will leave a profound effect on many people. Donnie and I were close for many years back in the day. We had hundreds of adventures together: Sledding, campouts, catching snakes and frogs by the creek and tons of BMX bike adventures. We were all about anything fun outdoors. We had our occasional indoor fun too with roller skating and shooting pool. We didn't have cell phones back then, so my pictures with Donnie are few, but I can see everything clear as day in my mind, and I will carry those happy images with me forever. I know Donnie's soul is in the hands of the Lord now, and I pray that will bring you peace over time. God Bless you, Shari, your sons, Barb and all his siblings. The world may have lost an amazing man, but heaven gained an invaluable soul. Goodbye for now, Donnie, my old friend. May I be worthy, I look forward to getting to see you again one day!
